Over more than 20 years of career, Pierre Lapointe, one of the most prolific singer-songwriters in the Francophone world, has released 15 albums, including a dozen of original material, created just as many original stage productions, and collaborated with internationally renowned artists from contemporary art (Sophie Calle, David Altmejd, Nicolas Party), classical music (Jean-Willy Kuntz, Yannick Nézet-Séguin), and popular music (Albin de la Simone, Hubert Lenoir, Mika, Clara Luciani).
Several of his albums have been certified Gold and Platinum, while others have earned major awards in Quebec, France, and across Canada, with nearly 1.5 million albums sold worldwide. France has honored him with the ranks of Officer and Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, and ADISQ has recognized his work 24 times, including 13 Félix Awards.
Pierre Lapointe is also a prominent media personality. He has hosted the ADISQ Premier Gala on multiple occasions, served as a coach on La Voix, spent three summers hosting on ICI Musique, contributed morning segments on France Inter, and will serve as the music professor on the upcoming season of Star Académie in Quebec.
