
Originally from Haleiwa, Hawaii, Ron Artis II is an award-winning artist known for his soulful and authentic songwriting style. Music runs in the Artis family. His father, Ron Artis I, a renowned musician, mentored Ron from a very young age, putting him on stage at just eight years old. He also took lessons from local music legend JP Smoketrain. Ron learned quickly, and his exceptional skills as a guitarist were evident early on, earning him recognition as a musical prodigy. Over the following years, Ron performed with his father and their family band across the islands. Growing up immersed in a wide range of musical styles and benefiting from this early mentorship, Ron developed his own talents as a singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer before launching his solo career and venturing onto the mainland.
Today, he performs original music and energizes audiences worldwide with his highly versatile and captivating guitar style. Both new and longtime fans leave his shows feeling loved, electrified, and moved by his rich and meaningful lyrics. In recent years, Ron has toured and collaborated with major artists such as Jack Johnson, G. Love, and Ben Harper, performing everywhere from intimate clubs to large amphitheaters across the country, including the Hollywood Bowl.
