Camille Bowie, also known as LaRedoux, is an LGBTQIA+ music streamer on YouTube and Twitch. She creates and performs her own compositions as well as covers, using a loop station and any instrument within reach.
Born in Gloucester, England, in the 1970s, Camille used to retreat to the music room every lunchtime to escape bullying from her classmates. The friendships she formed around the piano marked the beginning of a musical journey that has taken her across decades and more than 20 countries, before she eventually settled in Trois-Rivières with her two children.
Camille (formerly Redvers), who has been part of numerous bands (Total Silence, The Nectar, We Wish We Were You, Dan and David, Pirate Soul Museum, One, Lesbians on Laptops, The Ryan O’Reilly Band, Redvers Bailey, and Redvers and Melissa), now performs solo with electric and acoustic guitars, a Blackstar amp, and an RC20-XL loop station. She draws from a wide English-language repertoire—her mother tongue—and has recently begun singing in French while studying francization at Cégep de Trois-Rivières.
If you’re curious, be sure to check out her dynamic livestreams, broadcast regularly on YouTube and Twitch.
Don’t miss LaRedoux on Thursday, July 3rd, on the Meubles RD Ephemeral Stage at Village du Flambeau starting at 4:30 PM.
