Montreal quartet and pioneer of the Quebec hardcore scene, B.A.R.F. is back for its 40th year of music with VISCÉRALE, a new album featuring speed/hardcore sounds that will appeal to both fans and those nostalgic for the 90s.
Sylvain De Carufel is a Quebec artist presenting a solo French-language industrial metal project with a dark, theatrical, and deeply unsettling aesthetic. At the crossroads of the sacred and chaos, his music draws on religious imagery, subverting its symbols to reveal underlying tensions through an approach that is both visceral and conceptual.
On stage, he delivers immersive performances where sound, visuals, and staging intertwine to create a true contemporary liturgy. Supported by massive production and a bold artistic direction, each piece becomes a ritual—oscillating between control and disorientation, fascination and discomfort.
Blending metal, electronic textures, and visual storytelling, his universe speaks to audiences seeking intense experiences, where music goes beyond simple entertainment to explore themes of faith, illusion, and conditioning.
Don’t miss B.A.R.F. and Sylvain De Carufel on Friday, June 26th, at the ABI Urbain stage at Le Nord-Ouest, starting at 11 p.m.
