
Revealed to the general public during the very first season of Star Académie in 2003, Annie Villeneuve achieved major success with her album Quand je ferme les yeux (2005), which was certified platinum with over 125,000 copies sold and followed by a 119-date sold-out tour. Over the years, she has collaborated with renowned artists such as Serge Lama, Garou, Grégory Charles, Fred St-Gelais and Marc Dupré.
Throughout her career, Annie has diversified her artistic path through hosting, theatre and musical productions, notably performing the role of Sandy in Grease. She also took part in Céline Dion’s historic show on the Plains of Abraham, performed the French theme song for the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games and served as a mentor on La Voix on Marc Dupré’s team.
Annie Villeneuve has released five solo albums, including the gold-certified Annie Villeneuve. Her fifth album, recorded in Nashville with producer Chad Carlson, was released in 2017. Since 2018, she has performed more than 200 shows across Quebec and is also heard on the airwaves of Rythme FM.
