Originally from Iférouane in Niger, Boubé made a name for himself at the 2024 Syli d’Or, finishing 2nd and winning the Afro-Pop Prize. His authentic and captivating desert blues blends Tuareg rhythms rooted in Saharan folklore with rock energy, driven by soaring guitar solos and a voice that is both lyrical and deeply emotional. His unique style has earned him the nickname the Jimi Hendrix of the desert.
Currently touring across Quebec and Ontario, he brings a refreshing presence to Canada’s world music scene. With his striking charisma and deeply endearing personality, he makes it impossible not to want to experience him live on stage.
Don’t miss Boubé on Friday, July 3rd, on the Siemens Energy Courtyard stage, starting at 5:10 p.m.
