Diane Tell is a Quebec-born singer-songwriter with a remarkable career. She began her musical training at an early age and wrote her first songs at age 12. Her debut album was released at 18, marking the start of a prolific journey.
In 1982, her success soared with Si j’étais un homme, now inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. Winner of six Félix awards before turning 25, she also made her mark in France with a Midem Award and a Victoire de la Musique.
A free and independent artist, she manages her own label and explores various forms of expression, from photography to video production. Deeply involved in the music industry, she served on SOCAN’s board of directors and is an ambassador for HI, Humanité & Inclusion. Her latest album, Haïku, produced by Fred Fortin, was released in 2019.
