Élage Diouf
Élage Diouf, master percussionist, songwriter, and performer from Senegal, moved to Canada in 1996 to pursue his music career. He first gained recognition through numerous collaborations, including with André Dédé Fortin and the band Les Colocs. As a co-writer for Tassez-vous de d’là, he won a SOCAN Echo Award. His participation in the Cirque du Soleil’s Delirium world tour brought him to international stages. In 2010, he released his debut solo album Aksil, which earned him a JUNO Award and a FÉLIX. His second album, Melokáane (2015), also received critical acclaim and multiple nominations. His music, a blend of cultures and festive sounds, touches the heart and invites dancing, sending a message of well-being and unity.
