Jay Scøtt is a singer-songwriter from Terrebonne. A true musical multitasker, he blends rap songwriting, vocals, piano, guitar, ukulele (which he plays upside down), and beatmaking into his creative process. Formerly known by the stage name PL3, he has been active on the Montreal music scene for over a decade.
His first official album, Ses Plus Grands Succès, released on 117 Records, earned him the Félix Award for Folk Album of the Year at the 2022 ADISQ Gala, as well as the Francophone Breakthrough Award at the 2023 SOCAN Gala. That same year, his song “Copilote,” a collaboration with Fouki, won two Félix Awards—Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year—along with SOCAN’s Francophone Popular Song Award.
Jay Scøtt’s versatility and eclectic style bring a distinctive flavor to his pop soundscapes, which effortlessly flirt with rap and folk. Through heartfelt lyrics, pop culture references, and catchy melodies, his songs celebrate the everyday life of the average Quebecer, all while navigating an endless pursuit of happiness—despite the emotional highs and lows that life inevitably brings.
