Jim Déguédine’s unlikely success stems from his ability to captivate audiences from the very first notes, despite his truly unique sound. Critics have compared the project to Fred Fortin, Les Colocs, Charlebois, RBO, and Mononc Serge, as well as to Tom Waits and Primus.
He has shared the stage with artists such as Mononc Serge, Pépé et sa guitare, Anonymus, Capitaine Révolte, Bloodshot Bill, Orloge Simard, and Séba (Horg/Gatineau), among many others. Active on Quebec stages since 2006 through various projects, Jim launched his one-man “slap band” — a funky folk solo act — in 2018.
Don’t miss Jim Déguédine on Sunday, June 28th, on the Meubles RD Ephemeral Stage at Village du Flambeau starting at 4:30 PM and on Wednesday, July 1st, on ABI Urbain stage at Le Trèfle, starting at 11 PM.
