Named Radio-Canada Revelation 2024 and winner of the 2024 Francouvertes, Soleil Launière is an Innu transdisciplinary artist from Mashteuiatsh. In 2024, she was also nominated at the ADISQ Awards in the categories Indigenous Artist of the Year and Album of the Year – Indigenous Language, as well as at GAMIQ for Indie Rock Album, and at the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame for the Francophone Songwriting Discovery Award.
In fall 2023, she released Taueu, her debut album exploring themes of identity, language, femininity, and matriarchy. This bold and intriguing soul-roots project draws audiences into a powerful and deeply moving experience.
