A true pillar of the cultural scene in Mauricie, Trio Nelligan has captivated music lovers since its formation in 2007. Composed of Martin Bournival on piano, Sébastien Saliceti on double bass, and Éric Charland on drums, this ensemble from Trois-Rivières stands out for its jazz approach that is both authentic and inclusive.
Their major contribution remains the “Série Jazz au Zénob,” a must-attend monthly event where the trio collaborates with guest soloists in an intimate setting. This exemplary initiative earned them the prestigious Louis-Philippe-Poisson Award at the Grands Prix culturels de Trois-Rivières. After eighteen years of stage collaboration, the group reaches a milestone by releasing its very first album in April 2026.
This year, the trio will reconnect with its audience at the 33rd edition of the FestiVoix de Trois-Rivières, in a highly anticipated performance, once again confirming their status as essential ambassadors of jazz in Mauricie.
